Your Bio (five sentences or less):
I am a teacher, a wife, a sister, a friend. I love to draw, read, cut and paste. I spend my time writing lesson plans, running, reading, teaching small children to say please and thank you, watching movies, crafting and trying to figure out what the eff is going on on LOST. I'm always up for a cup of coffee, a game of cards or a glass of wine.

Describe your business and work (please keep it to five sentences or less):
As a true southern girl, I was raised to revere the art of letter-writing. I'm sad to see this art dying off with the onset of technology and hope that my cards inspire you to drop someone a note or put your thoughts down on paper. My note cards and journals are made with upcycled magazines or books being discarded from local libraries- I am a crafty dumpster diver! These books are being tossed because they have been written in or ripped up. Revive the art of the written word!

Do you have a particular item you want featured?
I have been particularly enamored with anatomy work lately. I adore these books that were being tossed from MCV's library that I grabbed up and used to make note cards and journals using the diagrams. What a technical way to tell someone how you feel!

Where do you make your work? Describe your work space:
I do my crafting in my home, basically spread out on any available work space I can find. All my stuff has to go through stages of painting and gluing and then drying before I can cut it up and figure out exactly what it wants to become. My poor husband puts up with spurts of no floor space to walk on at all in our tiny house!

Your favorite place to eat in Richmond?
Oooh, so many yummy places to eat in the good ol' RVA! A few of my favorites are MeKong, LaCasita, Stir Crazy, Kitchen 64 and Bottom's Up.

Your favorite place in Richmond?
My newest favorite place in Richmond is Trader Joe's. I'm so glad that we finally have one and have been buying up two buck chuck like it's going out of style!

Did you grow up in Richmond or go to school here? If not what brought you to Richmond?
I came to Richmond to attend VCU (WooHoo!) and fell in love with this city. It's the perfect place for me right now and don't anticipate leaving anytime soon.
